Successful completion of the PalletSequencer research project

Exciting news!

We recently had the pleasure of interviewing one of our developers about the successful completion of our PalletSequencer research project. Here is a short summary of the interview:

Congratulations on the successful completion of the PalletSequencer research project! Could you tell us a bit about the project and its results?
Thank you very much! The PalletSequencer project focused on the development of a crane-controlled, fully automated pallet warehouse that offers a space-saving and cost-efficient solution for the storage of Euro pallets. Our scope included the control of the warehouse including the user interface. For this purpose, we developed an algorithmically controlled material flow computer and used our in-house visualization framework.

That sounds like an impressive achievement. Are there any plans to develop flexlog further in this area in the future?
We are very proud of the results of the project and would like to build on this in the future and integrate further innovative technologies. Our short-term goal is to be able to offer the PalletSequencer together with AGV systems as a turnkey warehouse concept including accessible material flow in the future.

Do you see many potential applications for crane-controlled pallet storage in industry?
Yes, definitely. We are hoping for a particularly high response from small to medium-sized companies. Our crane-controlled pallet warehouse offers a new and efficient way of storing pallets in the smallest of spaces. SMEs often consider the automation of a pallet warehouse to be too expensive or too complex. Our system offers a very attractive price.

Do you already have other experience in the field of material flow controllers?
Yes, material flow computers have always been part of our company's core business, particularly in connection with shuttle systems, small load carrier conveyor technology and AGV applications.

Is there anyone else you would like to mention in particular for the success of this project?
Absolutely, we would like to express our sincere thanks to our partners Innokran and the Institute for Materials Handling and Logistics at KIT. The collaboration with them was crucial for the development of a great product and the success of the research project.
If you would like to learn more about our innovative solutions or discuss potential collaborations, please feel free to get in touch!
